Funny thing is, I was thinking about precisely this same kind of 
solution for my Dad.  He always has a hard time seeing the screen, 
even though his current screen is a nice 19" or 21" CRT that I bought 
a few years ago, and it's running at 800x600.

I was thinking that an LCD HDTV screen used as a monitor would 
actually be a good choice for him, because that close the pixels 
would be *huge*, and yet he'd still get better resolution than he 
does today.
