Everyone keeps saying that RR has such lousy cable internet service...

I think I've had -1- (non-storm related) outtage and that's when some
bozo decided to topple a tree with a rope tied to the bumper of his
Suburban, and the other to the top of the tree... which was in his back
yard... inside the confines of overhead power, phone, cable lines... and
the Suburban was in the alley.

They just happened to be the distribution lines for the entire quadrant
of the neighborhood.

RR has been rocking along for me glitch-less for ...goodness... 5 years,
now?

Interestingly enough, while there was no electricity in the
neighborhood, TW was dispatched with a generator to power up it's local
neighborhood switch. I thought that was rather impressive of them. No
electricity, but there's still internet.

Only thing I can think of is, there was a home-business involved that
needed it's presence on the web, with that house having either a
generator, or a mighty UPS.

My only bitch about -any- broad-band service, is the price.
