[SATLUG] Linux Not Ready for the Desktop

Linux is ready for the desktop but the applications
that are written that need to be installed by the user
are not.  Myself and another satlugger hit on this
already: having to look all over the internet for
obscure libraries just to get a application to
install/compile.
