In some offices, that is very wise.  There are places of employment 
that will permanently confiscate and destroy all devices that include 
any sort of recording mechanism, whether camera or otherwise.

If you work or visit one of those kinds of places, you should know 
well in advance what they'll do to your phone if you should happen to 
bring in an unapproved model.
