That depends on your client and how you configure it.

It can help, but it's not strictly required, no.

Yes, they will do that. But in the case of reverse DNS, you'd have
to talk to your ISP to get them to delegate the service for that to
your systems, which they're only going to do if you are a
business-class customer or you are otherwise paying for the service.
Even if you were a business-class customer or otherwise paying for
the service, you could just as easily talk to your ISP and get them
to set up your reverse DNS correctly, as opposed to having them
delegate it to you and then you would be responsible for doing it
correctly.
Either way, it needs to be done. And your ISP must be involved in
that process, since they own the IP network address space in question.
The issue is whether you have them do all the work on your behalf, or
whether you have them do part of the work by delegating the necessary
stuff to you, and then you do the rest of the work yourself.
