Is there a good (current) book on ripping and
encoding music (cda ~ mp3)?  

As a virgin I need get from zero up to speed in
transfering music to a newly acquired a flash player.
 I need a good book with explanations and examples on
transfering cda tracks to the mp3flash player. 

Tried using Grip, however, it rejected my novice
configuration choices, therefore, more homework is
required.  Google found bits and pieces on vairous
applications, but nothing comprehensive.
