[SATLUG] What is the quickest way to steal space from a Vista partition?

I just want to chime in. :-D

I used gparted a few weeks ago to move 30 gig from my linux partition
to my vista partition....what a nightmare. The entire process took
about 38 hours. In the end all was well. During the process though I
was nervous that everything on both partitions was gone.
