| | There's a real cheap one (<$400 after rebates) at office despot.
| | However, I don't know really anything about them. How do they hold up?
| | Would they stand being put through the punishment of a from-source
| | distro? Stuff works in linux?
| |
| | Just looking for more info before I go and make the purchase :)
| |
| | Thanks in advance :)
| |
| | (Cross-posted to get the most feedback :D )
|
| So heres a tarball with all the info commands I could think to run. I
| forgot lshw :(
|
|
| Unfortunately, it's got an evil Broadcom adaptor in it. So no bluetooth
| in linux, and I'd have to use ndiswrapper. Sux.
|
|
| So I need a linux friendly laptop for around $400 that doesn't suck.
|

Doh. Silly mailing lists that don't allow attachments. This is why
PGP/MIME doesn't work and I have to use craptastic inline signatures.

Anyways: http://shlrm.org/acerLaptopInfo.tar.bz2 works just as well.

If you're interested in knowing what's really in the guts of that craptop.
