I don't see where the drive is trying to even attempt to disguise itself 
as trying to use the slowest burn speed, onto the CD-R (as suggested by 
the man page for cdrecord (wodim)

So now, with basically 5 'coasters', I'll send one each disc to the 
first 5 people who come up with the correct answer (or if you don't want 
the disc, that's fine too, but...) please, someone... 'HELP!'
