In which case, the only storage options you should be considering are 
RAID-0 of the entire four disk set, and RAID-1+0 (mirroring first, 
then striping the mirrors).  RAID-5 ... sucks ... for write 
performance.

Filesystem-wise, you could stick with ext3fs, or if you want to 
replace that with something that would be more production oriented, 
you might want to look at IBM's JFS.  For large media files, you 
could also look at SGI's XFS.
