[SATLUG] Trying to understand UUID and grub

Actually I am not having an immediate problem. But in the past when I
installed a new distro
and wrote grub to the MBR I sometimes could not get the old distro to
boot. I am trying to hopefully
know what to do when it happens again. My immediate questions is why are *
bklid* and *vol_id* returning
different UUID for the same partition.
