[SATLUG] Ubuntu 'Karmic Koala' 9.10 impressions?

I've tried both 9.04 and 9.10 and both crash my Dell D600. Gnome works until I try to open firefox.

I'm still using fedora. Although I receive a "crash in kernel package" error every time it boots.

Thoughts on either statement?

Cheers!
