[SATLUG] cron help?

Funny thing is, I have _yet_ to see any kind of log for cron.  I gotta be
doing something wrong.... I see logs for other things in there, dmesg, etc..
but nothing for cron in /var/log/ but I do see cups there and one other c
but no cron...

When I was teaching at SAC, I had students write a script like:

#!/bin/bash
/usr/bin/logger -p local3.info "Test message"

and then add an entry to the crontab like:

* * * * *              /path/to/logit

Then check the logs.  There should be a test message every minute.  Once 
that's done, then adjust the crontab and the script to do what you want.
