This might be better suited for LVM. That way you can expand, shrink, remove
and create as much as you want (so long as you have disk space), though to
start it simple if you aren't familiar with lvm:

/dev/sda1 /boot ext2 100MB distro1
/dev/sda2 /boot ext2 100MB distro2
/dev/sda3 /boot ext2 100MB distro3
/dev/sda4 LVM rest of disk for everything else including home (with LVM home
can be split across multiple disks)

Withing the volume group you have a / logical volume per distro:
/dev/volgroup/distro1_root
/dev/volgroup/distro2_root
/dev/volgroup/distro3_root
/dev/volgroup/common_swap (lvm is awesome ain't it?)
/dev/volgroup/common_home

You can adjust any of these logical volumes from within any distro with a
common bootloader :)
