Just got this a bit ago, figured someone might find it interesting so 
passing it along. It appears that the USB microphone issue I described 
previously is going to be fixed by that patch I also linked to earlier.

BTW, I have just read in lkml that Thomas Poussevin's patch is included in
linux 3.2 rc3. :)
