[SATLUG] fedora core 15 wifi problems

The first thing I would try is to turn off the wired connection.
Then request an address on the wireless.

If you do that and do not have connectivity.....

can you ping ip addresses inside your local network?
can you ping addresses outside your local network
which interface is setting your default route?
could be DNS, what is in /etc/resolv.conf?
can you ping the DNS servers in /etc/resolv.conf
