I was at the last computer show and had stopped by the booth. I was thinking later what would attract more folks. How about running videos ( of Linux and how it works ) throughout the day? Can probably find something on utube and download it, and run it from the pc rather than a network. From there questions could be answered and disks handed out.

The December Computer Show is when we try and show off Distributions and Software aimed at the younger set. The show starts at 9 AM and goes to 5 PM. If you can help set up or tear down we can always use the help.
This may be the last computer show put on by the current promoters in the San Antonio area as the Live Oak Civic Center has been sold by the City to a developer that is going to turn the building into retail shops. Several other shows I have been involved with over the years at the LOCC are without homes. There does not seem to be a reasonable equivalent place available. The ones that several organizations have talked to all want Parking Fees or a percent of the Gate on top of the cost to rent the building.
The December 12th meeting is our joint Xmas Party with XCSSA. It is a pot luck style meal and BYOB. Please bring your families. If you plan to attend and can let us know what you plan to bring it will help in making a better meal. We get between 40 and 60 people. I normally bring Cole Slaw and and Carrot and Raisin Slaw.
It is also our Elections meeting. We need someone to become our President. The job covers coordinating with our RackSpace hosts for the meetings and finding people to put on presentations. We need a back up person as VP.
