I was reading that doing

git reset --hard HEAD~1

would set me back one commit from HEAD without deleting any work in
progress. But I backed up the source code directory just in case. It
did set back the source code of that committed file as well, so I took
from the code from the backup, copied and pasted. Now all is good. I
just think git has a cleaner way of handling that than what I had to
