Some of the ham guys who are getting into allstar(*) (linux based VoIP
for Ham Radio) are finding out that the Pi simply wont suffice with the
lack of USB power for the modified USB audio dongles.

The Beagle Bone Black, on the other hand, handles it just fine. With
the right USB mutiport hub, more than one radio can be used on a single
Beagle Bone Black board.

hamvoip.org has all the details.

(* Allstar uses a highly modified pbx program called asterisk, generally
used (default) on a regular PC with CentOS)
