A few hardware related questions.

In reviewing the posts, there seems to be no description of how the ram
disk was created.
(using /etc/fstab line ; mkfs -q /dev/ram1 ; mount -t tmpfs ; other)
How the ramdisk was created effect what needs to be tuned/adjusted in the
kernel (e.g SHM via sysctl -a)
Some methods will not automatically adjust the shm (DMA) size!

What are the values of shm on the machine in question? (use: /sbin/sysctl
-a | grep shm )

What's the value of tmp.mount? ( systemctl -a tmp.mount )
systemctl -a mask tmp.mount with a value of 1 results in files no longer
being stored in a tmpfs,
but on your block device instead! e.g. the contents will be preserved
between reboots!

The command "sysctl -a | grep fs.pipe-max-size" will give the size in bytes
that kernel will buffer for a io pipe. (which cdrecord makes use of).

Also take look at values under "ulimit -a" for the user process that will
be running the cdrecord command.
(this ties in with SMH kernel values)

With 32GB, is a "true" 64 bit system/program(s) being used (vs. UAE
extension to allow for a 32bit system to use 32GB)?
